The ‘Shazam’ For Plants Will Identify Any Plant From A Picture – Collective Evolution

The ‘Shazam’ For Plants Will Identify Any Plant From A Picture – Collective Evolution

An estimated 400,000 flowering plant species exist in the world, and, understandably, it can be difficult to keep track. The vast majority of us can only recognize and name a handful of plants, even if we would like it to be otherwise. If you would like to sharpen your knowledge in the wonderful realm of plant species, I have some good news for you. Like everything else: there’s an app for that!
If you ever walk by a specific plant that you would like to identify, or you have extensive knowledge about plant species that you would like to share, then the PlantNet app is for you. Available for iPhone and Android devices, it is essentially the Shazam for plants. It’s pretty awesome to consider what technology is capable of these days.

How Does The App Work?

The app works by collecting data from a large social network which uploads pictures and information about plants. Scientists from four French research organizations including Cirad, IRA, Inria/IRD, and the Tela Botanica Network developed the app.
The app features visualization software which recognizes many plant species, provided they have been illustrated well enough in the botanical reference base. PlantNet currently works on more than 4,100 species of wild flora of the French territory, and the species list is provided through the application. The number of species included and images used by the application grows as more users contribute.

While only a small percentage of plant species can be identified so far, the more users who join, and the more participants from different countries become involved, the more diverse this app will become. So if this is something that interests you, get the app and start contributing today.
While at the moment it doesn’t focus on edibles, this app lays the frame work for herb collecting and identifying plants in nature that could either be dangerous to you or that you would love to learn more about. The average person these days is enjoying a greater appreciation for nature this app can help them outfit their home and living space with plants they love.
In the future, an edible database could help foragers pick from the wild spread nature has to offer. Not only are wild sources of plants and herbs cleaner and free of pesticides, but they also can be picked fresher and be more nutritious.
At the same time, this app is inevitably going to get people out in nature more as now they can walk about trails and nature with a keen curiosity to learn more about what’s around them.

The City of London (aka The Crown) is Controlling the World's Money Supply | Humans Are Free

The City of London (aka The Crown) is Controlling the World's Money Supply | Humans Are Free

The 'Crown' is not owned by the Westminster and the Queen or England.

The City of London has been granted various special privileges since the Norman Conquest, such as the right to run its own affairs, partly due to the power of its financial capital. These are also mentioned by the Statute of William and Mary in 1690.

City State of London is the world's financial power centre and wealthiest square mile on earth — contains Rothschild controlled Bank of England, Lloyd's of London, London Stock Exchange, ALL British banks, branch offices of 385 foreign banks and 70 U.S. banks.

It has its own courts, laws, flag and police force — not part of greater London, or England, or the British Commonwealth and PAYS ZERO TAXES!

City State of London houses Fleet Street's newspaper and publishing monopolies (BBC/Reuters), also HQ for World Wide English Freemasonry and for worldwide money cartel known as The Crown...

For centuries the Bank of England has been center of the worlds fraudulent money system, with its 'debt based' (fiat currency).

The Rothschild banking cartel has maintained tight-fisted control of the global money system through:

They determine w/the stroke of pen the value of ALL currency on earth it is their control of the money supply which allows them to control world affairs (click here for Federal Reserve owners) — from financing both sides of every conflict, through interlocking directorates in weapon manufacturing co.s', executing global depopulation schemes/ crusades/ genocide, control of food supply, medicine and ALL basic human necessities.

They have groomed their inaudibility through control of the so-called "free press" and wall themselves off w/accusations of anti-Semitism whenever the spotlight is shone upon them.

Their Zionist tentacles reach into every major financial transaction on earth... unchecked power!

The Crown is NOT the Royal Family or British Monarch.

The Crown is private corporate City State of London — it's Council of 12 members (Board of Directors) rule corporation under a mayor, called the LORD MAYOR — legal representation provided by S.J. Berwin.

City of London map

A Committee of 12 men rule The Jewish Vatican.

They are known as "The Crown." The City and its rulers, The Crown, are not subject to the Parliament. They are a Sovereign State within a State. The City is the financial hub of the world.

It is here that the Rothschilds have their base of operations and their centrality of control:

  • The Central Bank of England (controlled by the Rothschilds) is located in The City
  • All major British banks have their main offices in The City
  • 385 foreign banks are located in The City
  • 70 banks from the United States are located in The City
  • The London Stock Exchange is located in The City
  • Lloyd's of London is located in The City
  • The Baltic Exchange (shipping contracts) is located in The City
  • Fleet Street (newspapers & publishing) is located in The City
  • The London Metal Exchange is located in The City
  • The London Commodity Exchange (trading rubber, wool, sugar, coffee) is located in The City

Every year a Lord Mayor is elected as monarch of The City.

The British Parliament does not make a move without consulting the Lord Mayor of The City. For here in the heart of London are grouped together Britain's financial institutions dominated by the Rothschild-controlled Central Bank of England.

The Rothschilds have traditionally chosen the Lord Mayor since 1820. Who is the present day Lord Mayor of The City? Only the Rothschilds' know for sure...

How the City of London Came Into Power Inside England

ENTER THE ROTHSCHILDS

MAYER AMSCHEL BAUER opened a money lending business on Judenstrasse (Jew Street) in Frankfurt Germany in 1750 and changed his name to Rothschild.

Mayer Rothschild had five sons.

The smartest of his sons, Nathan, was sent to London to establish a bank in 1806. Much of the initial funding for the new bank was tapped from the British East India Company which Mayer Rothschild had significant control of. Mayer Rothschild placed his other four sons in Frankfort, Paris, Naples, and Vienna.

In 1814, Nathanael Rothschild saw an opportunity in the Battle of Waterloo. Early in the battle, Napoleon appeared to be winning and the first military report to London communicated that fact. But the tide turned in favor of Wellington.

A courier of Nathan Rothschild brought the news to him in London on June 20. This was 24 hours before Wellington's courier arrived in London with the news of Wellington's victory. Seeing this fortuitous event, Nathan Rothschild began spreading the rumor that Britain was defeated.

With everyone believing that Wellington was defeated, Nathan Rothschild began to sell all of his stock on the English Stock Market. Everyone panicked and also began selling causing stocks to plummet to practically nothing.

At the last minute, Nathan Rothschild began buying up the stocks at rock-bottom prices.

This gave the Rothschild family complete control of the British economy — now the financial centre of the world and forced England to set up a revamped Bank of England with Nathan Rothschild in control.

Ruling 'Committee of 300′ for The 'Crown' names included in the London based corp. are names like:

Why are these 'Americans' on a foreign committee... because the Crown STILL owns the UNITED STATES CORPORATION, private corporation!

The Lord Mayor and 12 member council serve as proxies/representatives who sit-in for 13 of the world's wealthiest, most powerful banking families (syndicates) headed by the Rothschild Dynasty they include:

  • Warburgs
  • Oppenheimers
  • Schiffs,

These families and their descendants run the Crown Corporation of London.

Rockefeller Syndicate runs the American colony through interlocking directorships in JP Morgan Chase/Bank of America and Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) and Brown Brothers Harriman New York along with their oil oligarchy Exxon-Mobil (formerly multi-headed colossus Standard Oil).

They also manage Rothschild oil asset British Petroleum (BP). The Crown Corporation holds title to world-wide Crown land in Crown colonies like Canada, Australia, New Zealand and many Caribbean Islands.

British parliament and British PM serve as public front for hidden power of these ruling crown families.

"Today the path to total dictatorship in the U.S. can be laid by strictly legal means... We have a well-organized political-action group in this country, determined to destroy our Constitution and establish a one-party state...

"It operates secretly, silently, continuously to transform our Government... This ruthless power-seeking elite is a disease of our century... This group... is answerable neither to the President, the Congress, nor the courts. It is practically irremovable." — Senator William Jenner, 1954 speech

Even Ikea Is Studying AI Now

Even Ikea Is Studying AI

Even Ikea Is Studying AI Now

A new research project from the company’s innovation lab wants to know how you feel about artificial intelligence

Ikea makes furniture and household goods, not technology. And yet, the Swedish company’s external innovation lab, Space10, is launching a global survey meant to gauge people’s thoughts about artificial intelligence. Central to the survey’s mission is helping Space10 and Ikea understand what form consumers want AI to take.
Do we want our machines to act like machines, or do we want them to have a personality? Should they be male or female? Should they have names?
Should AI reflect each individual’s worldview? Should it live only on our phones or in our homes, or should it permeate the environment we live in? Should it be able to read and react to our emotions? These are the questions that AI designers and engineers are already asking about the machine learning-enabled technologies–and now Ikea wants to ask the rest of us, as well.
Why Ikea’s Innovation Lab Is Studying AI.
The survey, called Do You Speak Human?, launches today in Barcelona, Spain, where Space10 has set up voting booths for people to take the survey (they’ll travel to Copenhagen, Denmark, next). But the survey is also available online, accompanied by the familiar characters Ikea uses in its assembly instructions.

Ikea itself is already moving toward technology products, particularly with smart home gadgets like its recently launched lighting system and accompanying app. And internally, the company is striving to think more like a software company, most recently launching its open-source Delaktig couch, which will hit American stores next year. But Space10 says that while the ethics of AI are discussed internally, it was important to get the perspectives of more people, consistent with the organization’s focus on research.

While only a few hundred people have submitted results so far, the takeaways are intriguing: Generally speaking, people prefer an AI that appears to be human, that’s gendered male, that reflects their worldview, and should be able to read their emotions. People broadly prefer an AI that is motherly and protective rather than purely obedient or more autonomous and challenging.
Space10 says that it will share the results of the survey after analyzing the data, which it plans to use to inform future products. Soon enough, perhaps you’ll be able to pick up an artificially intelligent kitchen island to go with your flatpack bookshelf.

Best Free Kontakt Libraries for Spring 2017 | iDesignSound

Best Free Kontakt Libraries for Spring 2017 | iDesignSound

Surely everyone that uses Native Instruments’ industry standard Kontakt 5 sampler has at least 1 favorite free library. What I’ve compiled here is a list of 5 of my personal favorites. These are among what I find to be some of the most usable high quality libraries available. They get plenty of burn in my production projects at least, some may even be slept on. So here they are:
This excellent free Kontakt library is definitely the one I use the most. Although it is a limited version of their fantastic AURORA library in terms of NKI presets, it still delivers on usability and sound quality. AURORROR is advertised as a “horror cinematic and hybrid library” on Fluffy Audio’s website, but it’s a surprisingly versatile and flexible synth.  With more than 25 unique sound sources, 13 different modulators, an arpeggiator and polystep modes, there’s a lot to work with. The idea is to layer up to 3 sounds and adjust the plethora of parameters to create your own sound. Your new custom preset can then be saved. Check out this review by Saint Joe of Sounds And Gear.
This developer has been around for quite some time and continues to offer a generous amount of extraordinary free and premium libraries. Recently they stepped their game up even further by designing their own Kontakt instrument, 16PAD. Here’s a word about it courtesy of the included pdf manual:
To put it simply, it’s a 16 Pad instrument, each Pad has Volume, Panorama, Tune, ADSR, Filter + LFO, Distortion (Lo-Fi, Distortion, Skreamer, Tube) and Modulation (Chorus & Flanger) controls, plus 4
Send controls for 2 global Delay, Reverb and a Convolution Reverb (IR) effects.
free kontaktThere is also a simple on board step sequencer with controls for Volume, Tune and an Assignable Parameter per pad. The pads can be selected via MIDI and can be colorized individually. The 16-channel mixer can be viewed by clicking the MIXER button to the bottom left of the step sequencer.
I would have liked to have had the ability to load my own samples and have darker more pronounced colors on the pads, but this is a very nice instrument nonetheless. Big up to HS!
Both of these libraries have an awesome sound and are dead easy to control. There is only 1 knob on each interface, low velocity triggers major chords, and high velocity triggers minor chords. On Sustained String Chords, you can control the dynamics with the mod wheel and mix sustain and tremolo chords. On both libraries, you can play low, mid, and high strings separately or play huge chords altogether. The interface is simple and the design straight forward. It’s a great library for generating or enhancing your compositions.
free kontakt drums
Free Fall is another library that has been out for a while, but I think it’s one of the most underrated free Kontakt libraries. It’s dedicated to ambient textures and evolving type sounds which are useful in many musical genres. It comes with 18 otherwordly patches and you are free to create and save your own custom patches. This library just begs to be experimented with and you will have 4 pages of parameters to play with:  Main Engine, Effects Engine, Rhythm Engine and Output Engine. There’s really a lot to go through with this library, once you download it, no doubt you’ll feel the same.
free kontakt libs
Just released a few days ago, NS Drum kicks (pun intended) in with a well-crafted and high quality sounding acoustic kit. Not only does the library sound great, but if offers the ability to really customize your drum sound with a nice set of sensible parameters: Pan, Tune, Room (mic), Attack, Hold and Decay. There are a good number of presets for each of the 6 drum sounds represented in the intuitive interface: Kick, Snare, Hi-Hat, Tom, Ride and Crash. NS Drums J-311 also boasts I very high level of detail as there are no less than 27 layers per instrument, so you will be able to dial in just about any acoustic kit sound you like.  In addition, the FX page provides an EQ and Compressor for each instrument, while the MASTER page has an EQ and Compressor for the entire kit as well as a number of presets to choose from. Can’t wait to play around with this one.

British Library launches sound preservation project to rescue half a million recordings

Unlocking our Sound Heritage will save music, pirate radio, spoken word and field recordings from physical decay.
The British Library is launching a national preservation network to save almost half a million rare and unique recordings threatened by physical degradation or those stored on now defunct formats.
The Unlocking our Sound Heritage project will focus on preserving a huge range of the UK’s diverse musical and recorded output, from traditional, pop and world music, and radio broadcasts to drama and literature readings, oral histories, and wildlife sounds from around the country.
The breadth of intended coverage is striking, capturing oral histories from World War One and Two alongside Cornish brass bands, pirate radio recordings, iconic performances at the National Theatre, and local dialects from across the UK. It will showcase the stories of migrant and marginalised societies alongside notable figures, unlocking a treasure trove of music and cultural history.

Minijam Studio review: Gear with character for under $200

Minijam Studio review: Gear with character for under $200

Minijam Studio launched on Kickstarter earlier this month, offering all the gear you need to start making music out of the box for just $163. Scott Wilson tests the budget set of hardware to find out if it’s as good a deal as it sounds.
Hardware synths have never been so popular. Ever since Korg introduced the Volca family in 2012 and made it possible to buy an analog synth for under $150, the market has been flooded with tiny, inexpensive devices for making electronic music. As affordable as these instruments are however, they still require a sizeable financial outlay to buy all the gear you need to put your laptop aside entirely.
Enter Mindflood, who earlier this month launched a Kickstarter for Minijam Studio, a drum machine, synth, filter, mixer and speaker for just £130/$163 (roughly the same price as a Korg Volca). Mindflood already has a proven track record with Patchblocks, an innovative set of magnetic components that allow you to easily build your own synths, and Minijam Studio is clearly intended to be an even simpler introduction to music-making. The devices are digital rather than analog to keep costs down, but there’s no denying that the prospect of a whole set of gadgets to jam with is pretty enticing, even if they are missing professional features such as MIDI connections.
Minijam Studio has already been a huge success on Kickstarter, smashing its £50,000 target with time to spare, but how good can a set of music making gizmos really be for such a low price? Pretty good, actually – but gear heads should be aware that these are definitely not devices for audiophiles, and nor are they they easiest instruments to pick up and play, especially if you’re a complete beginner.

Definition of veganism | The Vegan Society
Very true story:
A family with 2 children needs tops 30.000e to survive with rent and again this is an estimation, usual situation in Spain, Greece, Italy, Portugal, here in UK food bank use continues to rise with over one million three-day emergency food supplies given to people in crisis in 2016/17. https://www.trusselltrust.org/news-and-blog/latest-stats/ , in Venezuela humans are dying of hunger same in Somalia, I know forehand that all these facts are connected because WE as a human society we have embraced the stupidity, the ignorance, the ego narcissism images, but when it comes with the music when the majority of artists are unpaid for their releases is another factor how society reflects exactly the apathetic response.
I know for sure many sheeple will come and comment bla bla bla, but reading figures 10.000£ or 35.000 while i haven't got paid for almost the 90% from labels for all the releases, same goes for all artists out there, when you have to pay to book yourself after 8 years of nonstop work day and night and spend more than 5000£ for equip, working your ass off for the minimum wage and not spending a dime for vacations for 5 years on and on, trying to find a way to spread your message and at last have a decent leaving through your music compositions, then yes you will feel sad about the whole fucked up situation, i am sure many many artists are in the same boat. If it's so difficult to spend 1£ for one track from one artist for one month but you willing to pay entrance 30£ for a dj then fuck it we have nothing to discuss.
ps: and you have to give your tracks for free so the they will give feedback while you will never got paid lol let them go buy the tracks themselves .Fair enough. That goes for all the wannabe djs, radio stations etc.
